MNH Launches Pharmacy Accreditation Process to Improve Healthcare Quality
Muhimbili National Hospital (MNH) has officially launched a pharmacy accreditation process as part of its ongoing efforts to enhance the quality of healthcare services and strengthen patient safety.
Hospital management said the accreditation initiative will help align pharmacy services with internationally recognised standards, improve efficiency in medicine management, and enhance collaboration between pharmacists and other healthcare professionals.
Speaking during the launch, MNH officials noted that improved pharmaceutical services are critical in ensuring timely access to quality medicines and effective treatment outcomes. The process is also expected to boost public confidence in healthcare delivery at the national referral hospital.
The accreditation move further positions MNH as a leading healthcare institution in Tanzania and the East African region, reinforcing its role in advancing modern, patient-centred healthcare services.
