PM Orders Full Relocation of Government Institutions to Dodoma

Prime Minister Dr Mwigulu Nchemba has directed all government institutions required to relocate to Dodoma to complete the process without delay, reaffirming Dodoma’s status as Tanzania’s sole administrative capital.

The Prime Minister stressed that the era of split government operations between Dodoma and Dar es Salaam is over, noting that full relocation will improve service delivery, coordination, and efficiency.

The directive forms part of the government’s broader decentralisation and public sector reform agenda, aimed at bringing services closer to citizens while reducing operational costs.
